THIS POSITION HAS BEEN FILLED
COMPENSATION: 

Salary: USD $5,000/month, tax free, net, including service charge
Benefits: Annual Bonus: 1 – 2 months salary depending on performance
Full maintenance, Health insurance, Medical care
30 days annual paid vacation leave, 11 paid annual public holidays
1 day off/week (can be accumulated to a maximum of 8 days)

THE CLUSTER:
  • 400 rooms, villas and bungalows w/ four main restaurants and several bars Executive Chef, main Island Resort & Spa, Maldives
  • also supervises the Executive Sous Chef, 65 villas nearby Island Resort; al fresco buffets and an optional a la carte restaurant; bar
  • and as well, the Chief Cook European and Maldivian cuisine at M/V Monsoon live aboard Dive Boat a sumptious experience!

THE Regional CLUSTER EXECUTIVE CHEF JOB MALDIVES CANDIDATE

  • Male Age: 35 – 45 
  • Relationship: Single status preferred but wife or girlfriend welcome if employable     
  • No children allowed in residence but can visit during school holidays, etc
  • Nationality: Western European (Swiss, German, Austrian), Scandanavian or     British, Scottish, Irish, Australian, Canadian, American or South African
  • Health: Good health and fitness, non smoker, alcohol consumption within reasonable limits 
  • Appearance: Good (not overweight), excellent personal grooming…required to spend time in food outlets engaging and interacting with guests…public relations 
  • Interests/hobbies: Watersports oriented given limitations of living/working environment (small island) 
  • Management Practice: Hand’s on, role model, walks the talk, good trainer, good counselor, good mentor. 
  •  Proven track record of happy and productive work performance managing multi-cultural team 
  • Character: Friendly, courteous, cheerful 
  • Contract Term: Two years commitment. Additional years welcome subject to mutual agreement 
  • Experience:  5 years similar experience as Executive Chef in 4 1/2 star international standard island resort or cruise ship of 200+ or more rooms where focus is primarily buffet service and with relatively minor a la carte outlet business
