Job Description Summary:

Head chef job Is responsible in the overall operational management of the kitchen, including production of food, maintaining labour & cost of goods, training and management of employees, management of each section in the kitchen of current and other outlets. Ensuring Food Safety at CLIENT’s food production.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a variety of foods; meat, seafood, poultry, vegetable, and cold food items
  • Arranging and preparing menus
  • Monitoring quality of dishes
  • Discussing food preparation issues with Management
  • Maintaining the Labour Budget of employees in the kitchen
  • Responsible for the overall food cost of the outlet
  • Rostering of employees and responsible for the overall manpower and resources management
  • Coordinate the kitchen to ensure smooth operations of outlet
  • Demonstrating cooking techniques and advising on cooking procedures.
  • Arrange stations and collect all necessary supplies prepare menu for service \
  • Arrange sauces garnishes for allocated station
  • Serving menu item to the establishment standards
  • Using food preparation tools according to the manufacture’s standards
  • Opening and closing kitchen correctly
  • Maintenance of cleanliness of workstation, storage room, store room and cool room
  • Constantly meeting food safety and WHS standards, including regulating temperatures
  • Training new kitchen staff in specialized Dim Sum skills and general kitchen duties
  • Management of each section in the Kitchen
  • Ordering and counting stock
