Japanese Chef Job Sofitel Hotel Manila Philippines

  • Salary: negotiable, dependent on qualifications
  • Sous Chef Level, but can consider applicants coming from a Chef De Partie / Jr. Sous Chef Level
  • Local or foreigner under local contract
  • Supervises Japanese Kitchen employees, facilities and cost
  • Manages and analyses the quality, levels of production, food presentation, guest satisfaction, merchandising, marketing, operating food cost and food safety management
  • Conducts interviews, employee orientations, performance appraisals, coaching, counselling and suspensions if necessary to ensure appropriate staffing and productivity
  • Develops formal training plans and conducts on the job training sessions for Kitchen employees
  • You MUST have at least 5 years of experience in a similar capacity
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety systems
  • Well versed in Japanese cuisines
  • Pro active Team Player who can work effectively under pressure
  • You need to have effective communication, guest relation and leadership skills
  • Amenable to work in shifts and for extended hours
